Wow! Hakoras Hatov?

We were pleasantly surprised to see the outpouring of Hakoras Hatov (from the ruling class) to Reb Shlomie Kohn (of LC/BF fame). We thought Reb Shneur Zatzal, took that virtrue with him. We guess there are exceptions. Some saner minds decided to grab Reb Shlomeh & take him back to his hometown, before he gets too deeply involved.

Lakewood suporters of the Clintons-update

It sure looks that the Clintons are at odds with the Obamas, big time. The office of Sec'y of State will become vacant by a resignation. Then the Clinton's will do a lot of public speaking on one side & Palin on the other side. Everyone will be focusing on the Obama's Socialism, etc.

BMG's Betzalel day school B/M moving

BMG's Bais medrash at the Betzalel Day school on 5th St is moving after Succos to the new site on Carey St/11th St/Madison Ave/ Forest Ave. We understand they have resolved the objections pertaining to the concerns of the Mikvah located in that same area.

They are surveying the Carey, Forest, Madison, 11th st properties, it must be the closing is imminent.

Yated's Pidyun Shivuim ?

The Yated is spearheading a campaign and trying to raise funds they claim for Pidyun Shivuim of Shalom Rubashkin. (Mail to 53 Olympia in Monsey, NY).

With a thank you to Sholom Rubashkin-What kind of Pidyon Shivoium? he isn't in jail. There are so many others lingering in jails, what about a pidyun shivoium for them?

Why don't they raise funds for the Bochurim in Japan?

What did the Yated's editor/owner learn from his interview with Rush Limbaugh?

The Yated ran numerous advertisements, ads, articles etc for Rubashkin's Arons, AGRI, etc with promises of some sort of payment, which never materialized.

So the next best is to run a Pidyun Shivuim campaign for Shalom Rubashkin, now there is funds in the Yated account.

Town officials Committeemen busy-don't disturb

This year fire works falls on Shabbos. The Township Officials are having meetings with all of the askonim [shenky maybe will be brought out of hybernation?] how to accomodate the "tzibur", etc.

FILL UP THE AUDITORIUM, Bring your friends, neighbors (whoever they may be).

Every Lakewood Tax payer must take a position to protect their tax dollars.

Pine River Village is twisting arms to get their age restricted senior zoning changed to unrestricted age use. They forsee big dollars in their pockets.


Does the taxpayer have anything lost or gained by that change?


The Lakewood Taxpayer has lost in the recent past a few million dollars when Pine River Village originally received the parcel.


Round two: Age restricted Senior building is worth a lot less than unresticted residential development. Pine River Village is attempting to take another bite out of our tax dollars by not compensating the Lakewood Tax payers. Enrichment on the backs of the Lakewood Taxpayers is unjustified.


What can you do? place calls to every political individual to voice not your concern they don't care, but your objection to getting fleeced a second time. You must demand that a minimum of five million dollars be paid to Lakewood Township to directly reduce the budget. We don't want the money to go to a township surplus account.


Remind the politicians you intend to vote exclusively with your pocketbook, not what some self serving groups have to say. Repeat it to them enough times till they know it by heart and can repeat it to you.


You must contact all of the following;

All 5 Lakewood Township committemen.

All Planning board members.

All zoning board members.

Township Manager.

All of your friends.

All senior citizen developments.

Don't call any Vaad members, no Igud Moisdos members, no Lakewood assoc members, etc-they will all try to convince you that it's the best thing for you, that "they control your pocketbook". If any of them call you hang up on them.

Lakewood Board of Education's & Schi's attorney

The only reason the BOE & Schi's attorney is able to fleece the Lakewood taxpayers is; a Philadelphia Rosh hayeshiva always backed him. He would refuse to listen to any verifiable complaints of wrongdoing.

We wonder if he'll still back him when the legal heat is put on to the Attorney.

The same Rosh hayeshiva allowed the BMG's Co-op to be manuvered out of them & land up as the NPGS cash machine.

What will happen to the BF/LCS now that it was put into full control of.

He was involved in building and running the finances of the main mikva in Lakewood (11th St) and handled all of the monies. At the same time he was building a Rabeim housing on 7th & Monmouth Ave. Anybody who asked for an acounting was rebuffed. There were very strong reasons to believe that there was comingling at best.

Asking every newlywed to contribute $500.00 to the mikvah? Was an open & tranceparent accounting ever done for this mikvah. Are they overfunded by now? How many newlyweds are there in Lakewood every year? (250-300+-) Do the math.

There are now numerous Mikvahs in town, why only this one, the fund should be distributed to all of them?

All the Shop-Rite Mikvah coupons monies were also handled by the individual with no cheshbon to any one. There was strong reasons to believe that there was co-mingling at best. Thousands of dollars are unaccounted for.

Vaad Li'Hatzolas Nidchei yisroel headed by Rabbi Mordechai Neustadt: The purchase & shipping of containers of food to Russia was arranged for years by this individual with no cheshbon given to the Organization. When evidence surfaced that something is very not right, he was asked for an acounting & bills, invoices, receipts, etc. They then asked for a Din-Torah, which he weaseled out by saying "everything I did was in conjunction with Reb Matisyahu so take him to a din-torah".

All of the mikvas & houses that he constructed for Organizations & individuals were always way above estimate. Even when there were signed detailed contracts, he weasled out & pulled the extra thousands out of the poor shuls, mikvas, individuals. Buyer beware: With his track record, any one who uses him for any job, it is their own fault when they get taken to the cleaners.

The BMG co-op that was located first in the Yeshiva Apts, then in the Irvington was gotten out of BMG very slyly by this individual, er-meint-nur dem-basheffer.

He will try his sly hand at any organization he can manuever himself into. He operates strictly with no oversight, no records, no books, no receipts-madoff style. He is very capable, shrewd, etc. You'll never figure out how he comingled all the money to his benefit.

Now what can he do with the BF/LCS? Take the properties they own, get approvals, build it out, etc with the pretext to pay off all of the outstanding debt. Good question how much will be left over as his numbers mushroom. Don't forget he is building other projects at this time, so you'll never know what went to where, & he will always get the sub-contractors to write the invoice, receipt as instructed.

Oh! the list is much longer.

Any Zedokas going to his addresses don't have any assurance that the monies are going to the intended tzedokas. So beware when you are sending out a mailing utilizing his Organization, or when you are responding to a mailing, do NOT make out any checks to those Organizations controlled by him.

Title 1 misapropiated school funds

Some Title 1 checks will expire in a few hours, and will not be able to be cashed or deposited.

The Moisdois that will lose those desperatly needed funds can blame Boruch, Mechel & the Honorable BOE Attorney Michael.

They say blame the BMG Vaad.

The Mashgiach's Rebetzin "oin ben pelles" doesn't want him involved in Bais Feiga nor in all of the issues the Hanhollah did not originally hire him for. She would rather they move to eretz Yisroel.

Reb Eliya Z"L addressed the Mashgiachs worldly endeavors just after the Mashgiach came to Lakewood, he said "there are enough issues in the Yeshiva that must be addressed, etc". the same with the rest of the Hanholah of BMG.

Bais Eliyahu moving to Princeton Avenue?

Bais Eliyahu Chaburas are being told to move to the Princeton Avenue public school building.

The Bais Eliyahu will be occupied by this zmans 450 "new" Talmidim.

It's important to the new talmidim to be near the main campus.

Will the Bais Eliyahu Chaburas move there easily or at all, time will tell.

The Board of Education Election is on Tuesday-
The Budget must be defeated- VOTE NO!

The 3 members to vote for-

1-Grunhut wasn't too bad (not too good either)
2-Miccio-wasn't too bad-not too good either. Silver is a better candidate.
3-Hasenfeld is a newcomer that has his focus on the dollars, to lower the School budget.


The Vaad & Lakewood Association Coalition are saying to vote NO on the School budget. Of course publicly they have to say......

All the new & leased vehicles at the upgraded inspection department with construction down and running at a deficit. (Senator Singer said "we will lay off at least half and cut more than half of their budget"-so he lied again).

All of the PUBLIC WORKS vehicles with their spit shine equipment. (Senator Singer said...Oh so he lied again)

The non-bid purchasing and hiring by the Lakewood Township..... (Senator Singer said...., Oh.....)

The Seniors were told...Don't file appeals en masse and we'll reward you by the reassessment.....

All of the Police Departments raises, expenditures, etc the sky is the limit.

The unheard of Township Health benefits, and the employees don't have to share in the costs.

All over the Country Union are told we are looking and expecting give backs and we are freezing all raises- not Lakewood Township.

All with the blessing of Lakewood's Vaad, BMG, Lakewood Association Coalition, etc.

Deputy Mayor Lichtenstein is the Liason to the Police Dept. So you figured out why the police are so agresive in giving tickets.
The deputy Mayor writes articles in the Lakewood Shopper & the voice trying to justify how the taxpayer & the residents are being taken for a joy ride.

The Askan Menashe Miller, we don't hear from him lately. He must have figured out that with Senator Singer driving the steam-roller...he's staying out.

The newest member on the Township Committee, joined forces with the senior Senator-If you can't beat him, join him...

The Bais Faiga / Cheder including registration is taking its toll on many of the individuals involved. It is affecting them peronally.

It may be time to face the hard facts on the ground. The sooner that it's laid to rest, the more face saving & respect is generated. You sometimes must bite the ......

BAIS-DINS

Every once in a while another Bais Din pops up in Lakewood, New Jersey. Now there is one specializing in gitten, chalitza, geirus, etc. Is that some indication that there is a special high incident community that requires the specialties? Or is it that they are questioning the expertise of some that have mingled in those areas previously?

Is the same with the Choshen Mishpat issues as well? realizing and questioning the prior ones as to their expertise, or is it that the community is growing and the need is increasing?

Any one have any personal experience with the Lakewood Bais-Dins to indicate one way or another?

Cheder-Bais Faiga

After Reb Leib Steinman's clear directive, there is still more back door manuvering in attempting to overcome the standstill.

The more time that goes by & the current administration remains in full control, it weakens the others in all other areas in the Yeshiva and other local issues.

The sooner that they face reality, and break with the hope.....the sooner the respect will be earned. Rav Steinman's vision was for everyones benefit, no one lost.

What was the end with the Bais Faiga / Cheder issue?

Rav Shteinman, Shlita was visited by prominent persons re: the issues.

Now Rav Yosef Rosenblum is being pressured to back away from his previous backing of Manes over all the years. They need something to ease off the order from Rav Leib Shteinman.

The Mashgiach was asked to come out with a statement re : the Registration, etc- He refused.
It lit a fuse by some.

It is time to start the process of a recall on the Mayor of Lakewood "Senator Robert Singer".

If we wait too long, it will be too late.
